Hello! First of all, a huge THANK YOU is due to everyone who helped during freedom week! From spreading awareness and signing petitions, to donating and selling bake goods, it was all helpful and very much appreciated! Events like freedom week are very important on campus, because the bigger presence we have in the area, the more people will be reminded of the issue of human trafficking and the more involved they will become. Below are some of the photos from our awareness campaign and downtown fundraiser. Here I have attached the link to the Ted Talk we watched at the Wednesday night meeting and a link to your ethical consumer guide so you can shop wisely and ethically to avoid adding to the demand that is causing modern day slavery. If you have any questions about how you can get involved message us on our Facebook page. In upcoming news, we look forward to partnering with International Justice Mission in April for their Stand for Freedom event! Stay tuned and email [email protected] if you want to join. :-)
