This just in: our constitution was approved by the office of student organizations at University of Georgia! We want to send a big, warm THANK YOU to everyone who is supporting us, both within U.G.A and elsewhere. We could not fight the good fight without you all, and we are so glad to all have the same end goal. We want to END human trafficking and to support survivors in their recovery.
As you may know, slavery is unfortunately not a thing of a the past. There are still upwards of 30 million people being sold into captivity at the present moment. We are students, faculty, and alumni alike that are not going to accept this cruelty. We will spread awareness and talk about types of slavery, degree of enslavement, and what we can all do together to help. Together we will be a fierce voice and a source of hope for victims of human trafficking. We will do this by providing monetary and moral support for rescued victims and by recruiting others at U.G.A to help the cause. We are dedicated to ending slavery, one persons freedom at a time. Now that we are an official organization at U.G.A. be sure to stay tuned for specific meeting times and upcoming chapter activities. Have a blessed day! :-) UGA students can join by click >> HERE <<
